What is StudentPay?

StudentPay is a New Zealand platform for education providers. It combines payment plans, secure payments, collections and reporting so providers can offer more flexible enrolment without adding administration.

Who is StudentPay for?

StudentPay is built for New Zealand education providers and their students. Typical customers include private training establishments, online education providers, and schools.

How does pricing work?

StudentPay charges education providers 40¢ + 2.9% per transaction + GST. The transaction fee applies to all transactions, including successful and failed transactions. There is also a $39.95 one-off setup fee per student + GST. The service includes payment processing, payment-plan management, collections management, provider reporting, the Provider Portal, the Student Portal and API access.

Can students manage their own payments?

Yes. Students can log in to the Student Portal to view their payment plan, upcoming payments, payment history and account information, and catch up on overdue amounts where needed.

What are the three ways to use StudentPay?

Education providers can use StudentPay Agent Setup, StudentPay Enrolment Integration or StudentPay Enrolment Checkout. With Agent Setup, your team creates the payment plan with the student. Enrolment Integration connects StudentPay into your existing digital enrolment journey. Enrolment Checkout is where StudentPay provides the enrolment and payment-plan experience.

Does StudentPay have an API?

Yes. The StudentPay API is the technical interface for connecting Enrolment Integration or Enrolment Checkout. Technical teams can create payment plans, manage payments and retrieve reporting data. Sandbox access is available for testing.

How do we get started?

Education providers can begin onboarding through Get Started, book a demonstration with the StudentPay team, or request sandbox access if they are ready to explore a technical integration.
